Doctor or deity?
Amid bipartisan outcry of irreverence and borderline blasphemy, President Trump removed the above post within 24 hours. He defended the post by saying that he was ministering healing as a doctor and not as our Savior. Hmmm. (Never saw a doctor wearing a robe with light emanating from his hands under an open heaven.) Whether it was a depiction of a doctor or deity, it appeared just eleven days after Paula White “planted a seed” at the White House Easter Lunch on April 1, drawing a parallel between Donald Trump’s political journey and the life of our Lord. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9lmpBqaiGtI
Scripturally, believers will bear the Cross of Christ in many ways vicariously, i.e., suffering, persecutions, and dying daily to self. The Apostle Paul attest to this throughout many epistles. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians%206%3A17&version=KJV But such parallels cannot be applied without careful teaching and clarity to a man like Donald Trump who, in my opinion, possesses a heavy and dangerous dose of narcissism. The word narcissism comes from the Greek myth of Narcissus, a young man who fell in love with his own reflection. Major characteristics of narcissism include:
Self-obsession
Emotional detachment
Inability to love others
Identity rooted in image, not truth.
Identity through image
Donald Trump’s brand has long centered on himself. From properties and products bearing his name or image—golf courses, hotels, casinos, steaks, even vodka—to more recent efforts such as renaming the Kennedy Center (protested by the Kennedys), proposed landmarks, commemorative items, and ventures like TrumpRx.gov, there is a consistent pattern: everything points back to himself—his ego, grandeur, accomplishments (whether real or imagined). His persona thrives on recognition, dominance, and loyalty, and anyone who does not bow and kiss the ring is insulted (low IQ), demoralized, thrown into a fiery furnace, or finally, FIRED! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJ6nOmAiwqo (The presidency is hardly a reality show.)
Most alarming is the push by many MAGA supporters that Trump plays some indispensable role in world history liken to the Old Testament King Cyrus. Scripturally, there are many parallels among Old and New Testament saints. John the Baptist operated under the anointing of Elijah Matthew 11:13-15; hence, Trump’s parallel to Cyrus is possible. However, according to some in this group, it’s absolute allegiance to Trump and Netanyahu or it’s the guillotine. This unhealthy exaltation has led many into deception. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/GWPGPFr1-FE/// To those who hold this view, allow me to make an announcement.
God can use ANYONE
He used a prophet with a speech impediment to shake an Egyptian dynasty (Moses). He used a rejected shepherd boy to establish a kingdom (David). He used a beauty queen to save a Jewish remnant in Persia (Esther). He used unlearned fishermen to shake the world (Peter, Andrew, James, and John). He used a virgin to bring forth the Savior of the world (Mary). While we thank God for these people, they were merely vessels, mere flesh whom God sovereignly used. When we take our eyes off God and fix them upon the vessel, we fall into idolatry. (Look at what many Catholics have done by exalting Mary as sinless, perpetual virgin—the doctrine of the Immaculate Conception.) Not only is this unscriptural, it is idolatry.
What we must do is repent. Fall on our faces and pray for the Body of Christ who has allowed the spirit of division, hatred, political, godless pride and vitriol to damage internally us. Additionally, we must pray for our beloved President who is surrounded by opportunists, sycophants, traitors, and podcasters longing for not only his failure, but his demise. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Timothy%202%3A1-2&version=KJV And above all, we must pray against his inflatable ego, unbridled tongue and erratic behavior lest he finds himself in the situation described in Daniel chapter 4.

What can we learn from this blog?
You cannot allow just anyone “speak into your life.” Listen with your spirit and not just with your ears. God’s word will never bolster our ego
Beware of “yes, men” who refuses to tell us truth, even if it hurts
The pride of man will bring him low
God will not be mocked and will never share His glory with another
Versus to Meditate upon:
Psalms 146:3
